The fifth lake down and longest in the chain of Highland Lakes along the Colorado River, Lake Travis was formed as a water reservoir in 1942 when the Mansfield Dam was constructed by the LCRA (Lower Colorado River Authority). Located on the western edge of Austin and Travis County, Lake Travis stretches 65 miles and is 4.5 miles wide at its widest point.
Due to its size and location, Lake Travis is one of the most popular locations in central Texas for boating, fishing, swimming, camping – even zip lining, and much more! Enjoy a casual dinner and breathtaking views at the iconic OASIS on Lake Travis. Or, enjoy fine dining at Hudson’s on the Bend off of Ranch Road 620.
Lake Travis is also an ideal place to live and call home. From condos on the lake, to golfing communities and larger family homes – Lake Travis could be the place for you. Contact me today to learn more!
